On November 10, 2007, the seminar on the amendment of the Chinese Criminal Procedure Law was held in Beijing by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Over 60 Legal experts who came from famous universities and institutes in China including Beijing University and Sichuan University attended the seminar. Mr. WeiDong, one of the representatives of Sichuan Province, delivered the lecture in the meeting on the innovation of criminal theories which elicited applause and ushered in the hot discussion in such issues.
